Overview

Environmental toxicology is a field of study that tells us how the environment and every living being is affected due to the harmful effects of toxic chemicals. It's all about how the environment absorbs those toxic chemicals that are mainly produced by man, how they are circulated through the ecosystem and how plants and animals including us humans get to metabolize those causing diseases, birth defects and poisoning. Through these studies we can find the cure for such diseases and defects or could prevent them altogether. Considering that mankind has degraded the environment through large-scale deforestation and thoughtless urbanization in the name of progress, the environment today is largely at our mercy. Eligibility and course duration

Postgraduate degree in zoology, special zoology, environmental science, ecology or related fields. Admissions are based on entrance test and interview.
