Landscape architecture is both an art and science. Art in the sense that it is instrumental in beautifying the surroundings. At the same time it also involves an element of science because it is through planning, designing, developing and analyzing that one is able to conceive and landscape a given land. In recent years the field has attracted many takers as people are today more conscious about the beauty of their surroundings and the environment. Landscape architecture has various aspects. It has an ecological aspect, environmental aspect, waste land management, urban landscape, historical aspects and managing corridors of green belts. Industrial landscaping is also getting very popular these days as many of the industries are investing in beautifying and greening their environment.
Eligibility and course duration
Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or similar such field with minimum 50% marks. Admissions are mainly based on GATE scores.
Duration of the postgraduate program is 2 years.
