Eligibility and course duration
Should have done post-graduation in MA or MSc Psychology from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks. Admissions are through entrance exam and a personal interview.

The course curriculum includes regular theory classes, psychometric training, seminars, guest lectures, case discussions, publication and presentation of scientific papers, skill training and research work. Audio visual training aids are used to facilitate training on therapy. Moreover, you will have to submit a psychology based diagnostic case report in between the course.
Job opportunities
With an M.Phil degree in clinical psychology you get the licence from Rehabilitation Council of India to practice as a qualified clinical psychologist. You not only get the opportunity to work in the area of mental health, but also get opportunity to work as competent liaison psychologists in areas such as neuropsychology, health psychology and psycho-oncology. You have opportunity to have your own practice as a psychologist or you can work as a consultant with many of the government owned rehabilitation centres spread across the length and breadth of the country. You can further your skills in the field by doing a PhD.
