By intellectual property right we mean the patents, trademarks and the copyrights mainly associated with discoveries and inventions, designs, works of art, music and literature. These are the rights that are granted to the creators for the protection of their creations so as to prevent any unauthorised use. These rights of the designated owners are duly authorised by the law. By patent we understand the right that has been granted to an inventor by law and thus preventing others from making, using or selling the invention for a certain period of time. The course on IPR provides you with extensive knowledge on the different types of intellectual properties, statutes and case laws by focusing on the IP laws and procedures in the US, European Union and India.
Eligibility and course duration
Graduates and postgraduates in science, engineering and law. PhD holders, research scholars, domain experts and teachers are also eligible. Should have valid CAT score.
There is no age restriction for this course and candidates are free to pursue this as and when they deem fit.
The minimum duration of PG Diploma Intellectual Property Rights course is 1 year and the maximum duration to complete the course is 3 years.
