Introduction
Kannada has another less popular name as 'Canarese or Kanarese' and it is one of the Dravidian languages in India. It is spoken in Karnataka predominantly and in some other states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, etc it is spoken by linguistic minorities. It is considered as a scheduled language of India and official language of Karnataka. This makes it very important for candidates to learn Kannada if they want to have good jobs in Karnataka.

Eligibility
Candidates who have already done their masters in Kannada are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks varies between 50-55%. In some cases, candidates having prior knowledge of Kannada (but do not have their Masters degree in Kannada or related subjects) are also allowed.

Some times, they need to change the same as per their supervisor's need.

After completion of PhD, candidates can get good paying jobs easily. If any candidate wants to study further, Post Doctorate is the option as regular degree.
