In this course you will be learning the basic fundamentals of the field of radiation therapy. During the training you will be learning to look through tissues to examine bones, cavities and other foreign objects that could be stuck inside. You get to learn operating X-ray machines, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography machines and details about nuclear medicine. Other than the technicalities about radiation therapy, the course will familiarize you with the various medical terminologies including symbols and abbreviations. You learn skills in book keeping for proper documentation, say for those being given radiation treatment , it's important to keep a record of the dosages. You will be also learning about the human anatomy, physiology and the various systems namely, skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, excretory, reproductive, circulatory and so on. You will be learning concepts on safety and hazards of radiation.

Radiation therapists will be finding jobs in every big hospital and in cancer treatment centres. The field is very much popular in treating cancers that are still at a very primary stage. Jobs are available in both the government as well as private sector. A few jobs in the field of radiation are X-ray technician, radiologist, ultrasound technician, nuclear medicine specialist, etc. It's a lucrative field considering that relative to demand, the supply of radiation therapists is far-far less.
