Course Syllabus of Boiler Attendant certification

As part of the curriculum, the student will learn the working and management of steam boilers, super heaters and economizer, purpose and use of various valves, cocks, mounting fittings and safety devices. The students will learn the functions of various equipments such as air heaters, calorifiers ,feed injector, feed pumps, feed regulators, feed water filters and softeners, feed heaters, steam accumulators, force draught, induced draught and automatic draught control devices.

Eligibility criteria

To get admission in Certification in Boiler Attendant course, the candidate must have passed matriculation or equivalent exam with Maths and science as a subject.

Duration

The duration of the certification is usually three years. Some institutes offer two years course , plus one year apprenticeship to get the certification in boiler attendant course.

Job opportunities

After completion of the course, the candidates may start their career as an Assistant Operator in steam boiler, or as an Assistant fireman in boiler manufacturing industry. After gaining the experience of 2-3 years, they may be promoted to Boiler Attendant position.
