Course Description
The post graduate course aims at preparing students to become professionals to meet the demands in food supply chain sectors. The course curriculum covers class room lectures, discussions seminars, workshops assignments, case studies and virtual modeling. Students are trained with excellent technical and managerial skills needed in the food chain industries. The program equips the students with extensive knowledge of perishable and non-perishable food supplies and focuses on marketing and economy. Course equips students with understanding of shelf life of food products, quality of food and the demand for the consumable food products. The study is multidisciplinary and combines varied fields; science, technology, management and commerce. Program equips students to face challenges in food industries.
Eligibility for the Course
The students should have completed B.E/B.Tech in food science/Food and Science technology/Food technology/Dairy Engineering/ Diary Technology/M.Sc in food Technology or food science. Admission is based on Entrance test and personal interview.
