Course Description
The master's degree course provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge of soil conservation, procedures for prevention of soil degradation/erosion. Students understand the methods of development of green land, rain water storage/harvesting and well recharging. The latest techniques and procedures for storing water are exposed to students for judicious use of water. Different methods of irrigation for agricultural crops such as drip and sprinkler methods are focused for efficient management of soil water. The course study covers areas of hydrology, farm irrigation and soil conservation. The curriculum includes theory lectures and practical's, workshops, group discussions, report submission, seminars, field visits, assignments, course material, project works, examination, viva-voce.
Eligibility Criteria for the course
The candidates should have completed B.E/ B. Tech from a recognized university. Candidates should possess deep interest in conservation of soil and water resources. They should have ability to problem solving and analytical skills.
