Course description of Master of Technology in Production & Industrial Engineering
The advanced two year program aims at imparting knowledge on designing and installation of integrated systems for men and materials. The course provides ground information of goods production, detailing economic quality. Program ensures that the trainee students equip themselves with skills required for planning and controlling activities in organizations. The programs educates students with principles and process of industrial engineering application in relevant areas. Additional Description of the course
M.Tech program exposes students to automation and control and enables them to learn advanced manufacturing engineering skills. The manufacturing processes such as molding, rolling. drawing, machining, welding etc are focused for learning. Practical training provides extensive knowledge in areas of metals, polymers, ceramics, bio-medical materials. Latest techniques involved in manufacturing systems are integrated with CAD(computer Aided Designing) The course relates to management of industrial processes and emphasizes on design and development, logistics, inventory control, quality control work systems etc. The study subjects include industrial engineering, quality assurance, chain management decision making, operation research, planning and control. Students can choose electives of their choice which includes material management, project-management, industrial applications, maintenance management, value engineering,modeling, stimulation, project work e-commerce etc. Training provides the students with foundation to global standards for them to embark their journey in production engineering to make a mark in their career. Students get equipped with strong communication skills and logical thinking for problem solving issues. Different interactive games are provided for lean production and optimization skill development. The training focus on ERP, PLM and CAE software's. Students are provided with hands on experience in product modelling and material dynamical testing.
