Introduction
M.Tech is basically a Masters degree in technology and mostly used in its abbreviated form as 'M.Tech'. The stream of Advance Communication System deals with study about devices, equipment, technologies related to communication, data and multimedia. It also teaches about how to operate, design, install different service communication systems and their equipment. This learning makes them ready to work for different business organization.
This course has 5 separate dimensions which are- Organizational studies, media studies, health communication, government communication and diversity and identity in communication.
Candidates learn about designs of VLSI systems, CAD tools and hardware description languages.
Eligibility
Candidates having their B.E. or B.Tech degree with minimum 45% marks as aggregate from any affiliated institutes eligible for this course. There may be some relaxation for reserved candidates.
Duration
The duration for this course is 2 years and these 2 years are divided into 4 parts termed as semesters (each having 6 months duration).
Admission Procedure
Most of the institutes offer admission through entrance test. Some reputed government institutes like IITs and NITs offer admissions on the basis of scores in national level entrance tests like GATE. Candidates need to submit the filled application form for institutes as well as for National level Entrance test and submit the same before last date.
Further study options
After completion of M.Tech, candidates can go for PhD., that is Doctor of Philosophy in the field related to their interest but must be related to their previous qualification. This will broaden their job prospects and will giver excellent career options afterwards.

Candidates also learn about Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Advanced digital Communication, Wireless Communication, etc. Basic Topics like applied mathematics, Image processing, etc are also included in the course to have better understanding of the concepts.
The last part of course includes project work which is usually a short term project where candidates get to learn about the practical handling and an idea about professional life they will be having later.
