Introduction
M.Sc. is Post Graduation course known as 'Master of Science'. The specialization of Human Development deals with human rights and human development in all aspects. The course includes study about Developmental Psychology, Human Physical Development (Biology), Human Development Index, Human Development in terms of Humanity and many more.
Candidates having excellent interpersonal communication skills are ideal for this course.

The duration is 2 years (4 semesters) for this course.
Eligibility
Candidates who have completed their Bachelors degree B.Sc. from any registered university or institute in related streams like Home economics, Home science, Science, etc are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks may vary from one institute to another and interested candidates are advised the same from administrative office.
Candidates with post graduate diploma in Early Childhood Education or Special Education are also eligible for this course through some institutes.
Admission Procedure
Admission are direct for most of the institutes but there are some reputed universities which are conducting entrance test for the same. In such cases, selected candidates are called for entrance test and candidates performing well are offered seats for this course.
Further study options
after this course, candidates can pursue M.Phil in Human Development and then PhD. in Human Development. This will give them in depth knowledge about their subject and will broaden their job profile.
Course highlights
The course teaches topics like Theories of Behavior & Development, Psychological Testing, Persons with Special Needs, etc. It also teaches about Advanced Human Development, Family Studies and Methods of Research in Human Development.
The later part of course includes study about Entrepreneurship, Family Counseling and Family therapy, Guidance and Counseling, Issues in ECE, etc.
Some part of Adulthood and Ageing, Adolescence Development, Instructional Technology, Research and Statistical Application are also taught in the course.
The last semester of the course requires dissertation to be completed by candidates in the form of internship in any of the related firm or industry. It is for practical learning.
