The post graduate degree in Entomology is two year course and aims at imparting knowledge on all aspects of insects, its relationship with mankind and the environment. The course provides strong foundation to students in understanding the concepts of Insect morphology, prevention and protection of plants from insect population. The program focus on beneficial insects, its use in biological control and in pollination of flowers. The curriculum covers theoretical lecture, practicals, seminars, record works, research work, visits to fields, thesis presentations, workshops and assessments.

The students should have completed bachelors degree in B.Sc in Agriculture/ Bio- technology/ B.Sc in Home Science/B.Sc in Forestry/ B.Sc in Horticulture from a recognized university. The students should possess keen observation skills, patience and ability for systematic recording. Admission is based on entrance test and interview. Students should possess good communication skills in English.
