Introduction
B.Tech is an abbreviation of Bachelor of Technology and it is an undergraduate course. The field of Water Resource Engineering is directly related to Agriculture Engineering and management. Through this course, candidates learn about planning, designing, developing and managing different water resources. These candidates also learn about physical and non-physical infrastructure required to fulfill the water needs of environment and society. Study about water intakes for clean and safe drinking water access, different types of water treatment plants; etc is also included in the course.
Eligibility
A candidate who has passed his or her 12th examination with minimum 60% aggregate are eligible for this course. He or she must have studies Science and Mathematics during 12th.
Some institutes have age restriction and candidates are advised to check the same before submitting their application form.
Duration
The duration is 4 complete years. These 4 years are equivalent to 8 semesters; each is having 6 months duration.
Admission Procedure
Most of the reputed institutes conducts entrance examination for this course. Many institutes offer admission depending upon their scores in national level entrance examinations. Candidates need to apply for these national level examinations and perform well in that. After result announcement, they can approach the institute depending upon their scores for admission.
Further study options
After completing B.Tech if a candidates want to study further, M.Tech is an option. He or she can enroll for M.Tech with same specialization and after that PhD can also be pursued.
