About Diploma in Meat Technology course
The main aim of the course is to provide skills and basic knowledge for quality production of meat and meat products. Special attention is paid to the training of students for creating competencies and awareness in the meat processing. The competencies include handling of meat on scientific lines, good slaughter practices, testing and quality control of meat and meat products and production of quality meat and meat products.
The basic eligibility criteria to pursue Diploma in Meat Technology course is a pass degree in Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 in any stream or equivalent from a recognized college or university.
The minimum course duration of Diploma in Meat Technology is 1 year and a maximum of 4 years. Some institutes provide this course on a correspondence or distance learning program.
