B.Sc Medical Radiology Technology
The under graduate course is of three year duration. The program provides strong foundation in using sophisticated technology and techniques in medical imaging and cancer treatment. The course specialization includes radiology, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine. The program includes imparting knowledge to students on human systems- anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, general physics, electronics and atomic and nuclear physics.. mathematics, pathology and communicative medicine. Students also study the subjects of radiology diagnosis, radiation oncology and radiation physics. The radiology covers, practical sessions of handling, X-ray machines, mammography units, c-arms, fluoroscopy equipment, MRI and computer tomography, sic dropplers.
Eligibility Criteria
The students should have completed PUC/ Higher Secondary (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks from a recognized university. The students should have interest and patience for working with patients. They should have ability to work for long hours.Admission is through merit, selection is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

The three year program trains students in essential skills in advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in areas of interpreting and diagnosing medical imaging. The course is multidisciplinary the students need to interact with professionals from varied fields. The students learn about the nature of illness and understand the procedures involved in imaging of CT and MRI scans The course provides intensive and exhaustive training for students to become efficient professionals. The study involves in lecture inhuman anatomy and physiology and other body systems. Training provides students to equip with strong abilities in soft skills and in enhancing the interpersonal skills. The program provides hands on experience in handling the latest equipment and its application in treatments of patients. The job of radiologists involves in recording medical history of patients and interpreting record findings, laboratory values. The course is competitive and intense. program trains the students to create electronic maps for using inset catheters and in removal of maligant tissues. Training also enhances the skills of students in logical thinking and decision making skills. Curriculum includes seminars, practical sessions, workshops, project works and continuous assessments.
