You need to have B.Tech degree to be a part of this course. Now unlike many other M.tech courses this course allows B.Tech from various genres. You can be either B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics or Electronics and Communication or Automobile or even Aeronautical. The reason as you may very well understand that all these branches and few others have direct connection with machines of different types and various aspects about it. You need to pass with minimum 55% in your graduation.
Another requirement is that you must pass or score in GATE examination or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is an all India based test that selects candidates for study in M.tech course of various streams. Unless you have a valid percentile in it, you will not be able to be a part of M.Tech course. Remember GATE examination is very costly. So always take a coaching in this examination and then participate in it.
