Eligibility of this course
Generally the candidates who have completed B.Sc. honors in biotechnology are only allowed to study M.Sc. in biotechnology. Sometimes few colleges or universities allow people from double graduation domains. That means, if you have double graduation (of duration 4-5 years) on biotechnology and some other course related to biology then also you are eligible to study M.S.c in biotechnology.
You must have minimum 60% in your graduation. Otherwise most of the universities will not allow you to sit for their entrance examination. Every university that provides M.Sc. in Biotechnology will hold entrance examinations to shortlist candidates for this course. The course normally caters to maximum 30 seats in most universities. Students applying for that can even cross 200. So in that case taking entrance examination becomes a must.

The course is of 2 years. This course consists of a balance between theory and practical courses. You might have few papers on Mathematics and Statistics in this course.
The course fee is around 2 lacs for 2 years.Some government aided colleges take 1 lac for the entire course. But getting admitted with a fee of even less than a lac is not possible.
