Introduction
M.D is a post graduation course in Medical stream with the full name as Doctor of Medicine. The specialization of Anatomy is related with complete study about structure of the human body. Candidates learn every thing like Gross and Regional Anatomy, Arthropology, Systemic Anatomy, Osteology, Neuroanatomy, Myology, etc. They also learn about General & Systemic Embryology, Applied and Clinical Anatomy, Principles of Genetics, Comparative Embryology, Staining Techniques, and many other related topics.
Candidates willing to learn about human body structure, its functions, principles of normal growth, differentiation, etc are suitable for this course.
Eligibility
Candidates holding Graduation degree in medical stream, that is MBBS are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks varies from one institute to another and need to be checked before submitting the application form.
The age must not be higher than 45 for this course.
Duration
The duration for this course is 2 years and candidates need to complete their internship of 1 year before enrolling for this course.
Admission Procedure
Most of the medical institutes conducts an entrance examination for admissions. Candidates need to submit their filled application forms before due date and then they need to appear in the examinations. Candidates performing well in the same get short listed for admissions. Some institutes also conduct interviews after entrance examination.
Further Study options

The course teaches about Gross anatomy through theoretical sessions as well as practical classes including various anatomical techniques and dissection of entire body. The course also teaches about Developmental Anatomy, immunology, histology, histochemistry, genetics, etc. All of these subjects also have their respective lab sessions.
