Introduction
M.D is Doctor of Medicine and the specialization of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the core study of female reproductive organs during pregnancy and non pregnancy stages respectively. It is a post graduate degree in the stream of medical science and is considered as surgical medical specialties. Candidates having interest for this course should have capability to learn skills quickly and they should be able to perform practical techniques like uterine instrumentation, hysteroscopy, suturing, cesarean section etc.
Eligibility
For admission in this course, candidates need to complete their graduation degree that is MBBS from any of the recognized colleges with at least 55% marks as aggregate.
Some institutes have age restriction and candidates older than 45 years of age are not allowed to pursue this course.
Duration
The duration for this course is 3 regular years (it is not available in part time course or through correspondence). The 3 years duration includes both theory sessions and practical handling sessions.

Most of the institutes conduct entrance examination for this course. Interested candidates just need to submit their duly filled form before last date. The application form must be enclosed with all other required documents to get considered for further admission processing.
