Course Description of M.D Agadhtntra
M.D stands of Doctor of Medicine and the course is three year duration. The program prepares the students to become experts in Agadhtntra and become interoffice professionals. Agadhtntra deals with study of toxins and how to remove the toxins from the body. The course is toxicology, students are exposed to the concept of poisons, different types of poisons found in animals and plants. Study imparts in dept knowledge on diagnosis of diseases and the treatments. The course enables them to identify the cause for the disease, analyse and develop methodological approaches in solving the problems.
Eligibility criteria
The students should have completed bachelors degree in Ayurveda medicine ( B. A. M. S) from a recognized a university approved by Central Council of Indian System of Medicine. The Students should possess scientific thinking and be able to problem solving issues. Admission is through entrance examination, marks scored in NEET.

The post graduate course introduces them to toxicology and examination of poisons. The course covers research methodologies, theoretical and practical training in Agadhtntra. Program imparts knowledge in areas of clinical and pathological management. It focuses on Gara visha and Dushi visha, observation of sign and symptoms and its management. Adequate knowledge is provided on community health issues due to poisoning. Students learn about various types of pollution and its effects on human beings. Study also focuses on Indian court laws and legal systems. Hands on experiences is provided in techniques of pathology, pharmacology and microbiology used in toxicology. Training provides strong foundation in forensic medicine. The curriculum includes case record, clinical sessions, identification of specimens, models, equipment, spotting, assessments, examination and viva-voce. The course enhance their abilities in communication skills and in analytical abilities. It enables them to become independent learners in pursuit of knowledge in the Agadhtntra and to promote in international arena.
The study course covers fundamental principles of siddhanta, anatomy, sharir rachana and physiology of sharir kriya. The subjects pharmacology, dravya guna, rasa shastra and bhaishajya kalpana and pharmacy. Program includes learning the aspects of toxicology, rog nidan, pathology, kaya chikitsa internal medicine, bio-purification methods, shalya tantra surgery, gynecology and pediatrics.
