1. The best option for higher studies after this MD course is a PhD in Ayurveda medicines. To study PhD an MD student must appear in an entrance examination held by the university, which is offering the PhD course. If you clear this written entrance examination, then you will be called for a subsequent interview. In the interview you must make yourself clear as to why you to study this PhD course. You will also be asked to give a presentation on how far you have learnt from the MD course and how do you wish to proceed further. The examiners basically want to see how much have you actually learnt in the field of child care.
2. During studying this MD course, or sometime after you can think of studying diploma course on child care and nutrition from any distance education institute. Since this is a distance course, so you can continue this course while studying in any regular university. The eligibility requirement for this course is the completion of higher secondary or equivalent course.

1. You can apply an Ayurvedic doctor in any Ayurvedic health Institute. Although before becoming a full time doctor, you will have to work sometime as an intern at the same health institute.
2. After you treat patients for 5-6 years, you can become ICU specialists for children getting admitted in emergency conditions.
3. You can teach medical students paediatrics in Ayurveda. For becoming a paediatric teacher, you would require at least 10-12 years of experience as a child's surgeon.
