M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering course involves in the study of application of principles of rock mechanics and soil mechanics for investigation and subsurface materials and its conditions. It also involves in the study of rock, soil, bedrock and fault distribution properties of the site, such study helps in assessing risks from natural hazards like earthquakes, wing, land slides etc. Based on these findings, geotechnical engineers will analyse, plan the design and construct foundations and other support structures.
