Introduction
Master of Science is a post graduation course mostly used in its abbreviated form - M.Sc. It has different specializations from the field of science and Cardio vascular technology is one among them. This specialization belongs to medical or surgical field. The course generates cardiovascular technologists every year who assist the physicians who are treating cardiovascular problems of patients. These candidates learn to diagnose and treat the heart related problems and details about the peripheral vascular system.

Eligibility

Cardio vascular Technology) are preferred for this course. The course must be completed from reputed and recognized colleges with minimum 50% marks as an aggregate.

Duration
The duration for this course is 2 regular years/ 4 semesters and this course cannot be performed in distance learning mode.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, candidates can enroll for PhD. It is a research based course which gives a doctoral degree after completion.

These candidates learn about performing ultrasound procedures, review explanations of the physicians, assessment of patients' medical records, etc. They also learn to operate and even maintain the testing devices and equipments, to compare the medical test result and to check the conditions to the patients depending upon reports. The course has many sub-specializations like echocardiography, vascular technology and invasive cardiology.
If we talk about theoretical study, the course teaches about cardiovascular theory, Systemic and pulmonary circulation of blood, Peripheral pulse, dural venous sinuses, Great Saphenous vein, etc. It also teaches about Histology of lymphatic tissues, demonstration of heart, vessels, arteries, angiograms, etc through practical sessions.
