Overview
Doctor of Medicne Homeopathy in Paediatrics provides for useful opportunities in the area of medical health of children and infants. Eligibility and course duration
BHMS, i.e. Bachelors in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery of duration not less than 5 years and 6 months. It should include a 1-year period of compulsory internship. Those with graded BHMS degree of course duration not less than 2 years can apply for the program too. The above qualifications should be included in the 2nd schedule of the CCH Acts.
Admission to the MD course is through entrance tests. Duration of the course is 3 years' full time.

Being of 3 years' duration, the course program is divided into 2 parts. The 1st part consists of a 12 months' period of compulsory house job, in which one gets to attend to patients both in the in-patient as well as the out-patient department of the college cum hospital. Depending upon the need of the case the student doctor has to follow up with the treatment procedure prescribed by the senior doctors. You also get to train trainee doctors and other interns attached to the college. Through this course one gets to enhance one's knowledge about the field of paediatrics through lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops, practical experiences, etc.
The 2nd part of the course of duration 18 months mostly focuses on the dissertation part. A certain topic is to be selected before starting the dissertation work. The required research work is performed under the supervision of a guide or supervisor. The dissertation is to be submitted at the end of the course and a viva voce is conducted based on that.
