Introduction
M.Tech in Integrated Design & Manufacturing is a post graduation or Masters Course from technical stream. It keeps the candidates up-to-date with the advancements in the field of Technology. Candidates learn about manufacturing of systems and quantitative analysis of computer-integrated design.
The course focuses on designing, manufacturing, implementation and various life cycle issues related to engineering systems. Candidates learn about quantitative analysis of all the computer integrated designs and their manufacturing systems which are useful in the industrial world.
Eligibility
Candidates holding B.E. or B.Tech degrees in related specializations from a reputed university are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks should equal o or higher than 60% as aggregate.
Admission Procedure
Being a course in demand, the admissions are not very easy. Most of the institutes and universities are conducting entrance examinations for short listing of deserving candidates on the basis of performance. Many institutes also consider the performance of candidates in national level entrance examinations like GATE or PGET.

The duration for this course is 2 years which are divided into 4 parts known as semesters.

After completion of this course with good grades, candidates are eligible to get a reputed job with good salary. If a candidate still wants to study further he or she can go for PhD in manufacturing Design. It is good course with research opportunities associated with it. Please note that this course does not have any age restriction.

The initial duration of course teaches about basics like Mathematical Methods for Engineers Elasticity, Fluid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics Tools, Material Science & Material Selection, Heat Transfer, etc.
The candidates also learn about Finite Element Methods through lab practices.
Once the basics are understood, the course specific critical topics are taught like Manufacturing Processes, Scaling Laws & Multi-scale Manufacture, Process Control & Optimization, Reliability methods, Design for Manufacturability & Assembly and many other related topics.
The course also has some elective subjects like Automation & Robotics, Fatigue, Fracture and Life Cycle Estimation, Micro-Manufacturing, Phase Change Phenomenon, Additive Manufacturing, etc.
