Introduction

The chemical products derived from petroleum are called petrochemicals. Petrochemicals are also called petroleum distillates. Some of the chemical compounds are obtained from fossil fuels, coal and natural gas. The common petrochemical groups includes olefins and aromatics. The diploma course in petrochemicals technology is full time 3 years program. The course prepares the students to become competent petrochemical technologists in the field.
