Master of Technology in Remote Sensing & Wireless Sensor Networks

An engineering or science graduate and aspiring to make it big in the field of remote sensing? Looking forward to specialize in remote sensing done by means of wireless sensor networks? Learn here the details and prospects of the course M.Tech. in Remote Sensing and Wireless Sensor Networks.

Course Name: M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Wireless Sensor Networks
Group: M.Tech.
Stream: Engineering
Course Category: Civil
Environment
Duration: 2 years

Overview

Over the years, remote sensing has brought in revolutionary changes on how we perceive our environment. All this has been possible because of the development in space technology that has enabled man to put spacecrafts on orbit around the earth. The spacecrafts have been providing us with a clear picture of the earth's environment, distribution of its resources and other geographical features. Remote sensing has been helpful in a variety of other tasks including agriculture, urban development, water management, oceanography and even defence. Remote sensing through wireless sensor networks has provided an additional dimension other than that through satellite technology. These are the land based sensors that are connected through wireless network and are very effective especially in cases where satellite technology has no access.

Eligibility and course duration

B.E./B.Tech in any engineering discipline or MSc in math, physics or computer science. Admissions are through GATE score, entrance tests or merit.

Duration of the program is 2 years.
