Introduction
Diploma Textile Processing is mostly used in its abbreviated form- DTP. Textile processing is considered as one of the major industry of India. The course includes 3 main phases- conversion of Fiber to Yarn, Then yarn to Fabric ad last is Textile. Then the end material is fabricated into clothes.
Candidates learn about all the details related to processes available for spinning, different fabric forming stages, complexities of coloration, etc.
The course teaches about scientific application of engineering principles in designing, controlling of various aspects of fiber, apparel processes, products, textile and involved machinery.

As the candidates pursuing this course are 10th pass only, the course starts with basics like English, Physics, Chemistry, Basic Mathematics, etc. Then it teaches about Computer Fundamentals, Communication skills, introductory sessions for textile fibers and engineering drawing. Then the course moves to specific studies related to textile processing which includes study about Fiber testing, Spinning, Weaving, etc. The course also teaches about Fabric Manufacturing technology, Yarn Testing, Applied Statistics, fabric structure and designing.
