Course Description of Bachelor of Library and Information Science
The program is interdisciplinary and provides comprehensive course study for the students. The course aims at imparting knowledge of principles and practices of library science. The program equips students with in-depth knowledge in library science and prepares them for librarian position in varied areas.The training provides techniques and technologies for accession of books, maintenance and registers for issuing and collecting books. The course study area includes library and its management, history of library, information science, cataloging and classification, digital and modern libraries. A librarian job involves in attending to people and answering the quires.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (10+2+3) from a recognized university. The students should possess strong skills in English language and interpersonal abilities. They should have good organizational skills and be systematic in approach methods and have vast knowledge about kinds of books and in helping others.
