Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidates interested in this course must have completed higher secondary or an equivalent course. Any course which the candidate claims to be equivalent to 10+2 must be government approved.
3. There is a restriction regarding the stream on which the candidate must have passed the 10+2 course. Most institutes prefer commerce students for this course.
4. The marks to be obtained in the final examination of class 12 is 60% or more. Some institutes add one more criterion to this marks cutoff. In that case, you must 60% in the core commerce subjects and 60% as a whole.

Higher Studies

1. After this course, you can sit for the Common Proficiency Test or CPT. If you clear this examination with minimum 50% marks, then you will be called for a subsequent interview. On successful completion of that interview, you will be selected for Chartered Accountancy course. Taxation is a major part of this course. You can learn more about the tax procedures of our country and the taxation schemes on foreign markets investing in our countr.
2. You can also think of Company Secretaryship course after this diploma. This is a management oriented course. If you are aiming for higher managerial positions in your bank or any other non banking sector, this course will be helpful for you.

1. Initially, you will become an indirect tax analyst.
2. After 1-2 years of experience, you can become a service tax officer.
3. After 10 years, you can become an account manager. Your job will be to scrutinize the book of accounts.
