In the context of rapid advances in health care, health professionals at all levels of care need to update their knowledge and skills in providing health care in general and mother child care in particular. The program is intended to provide an opportunity to the students to upgrade their knowledge and skills in Maternal and Child Health Care for providing better quality of MCH services. The program covers the application concepts and practices for knowledge in the field of MCH services and aims to improve knowledge and skills of the candidates working both in the government health care delivery system and the private sector. The course trains the candidates to manage health care services and to provide maternal and child health care. The course includes new-born or infants care, diagnose and manage common childhood morbidity and identify high risk babies.
