Overview

The special education program, B.Ed – Hearing Impaired is approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Just like any other special education programme, here too one needs to register with the RCI for practising as a special educational needs teacher. The eligibility to register with RCI is successful completion of the course. The services of such special education teacher are mostly required by the special schools that are meant for the differently abled. The course is a highly useful one, as it teaches you the techniques for educating learners with differently abled skills.

Eligibility and course duration

Graduation in any of the streams from a recognized university with at least 50% of marks in aggregate. Passion to help people and dedication towards work is what is essential to practice as a Special Educational Needs Teacher. Entrance test and sometimes counselling is carried out to scrutinize applicants.

This is a four-semester course spread over 2 years.

Bachelor of Education – Hearing Impaired is a socially relevant program.
