A foundryman is a trade generally associated with the foundries. Foundries are used for a variety of purposes including producing metal castings. These castings are produced by pouring the hot melted metal into moulds of different shapes and sizes and then allowing it to cool. The solidified castings are then removed from the moulds. A person associated with such a task in the foundry is known by the term foundryman. To become a foundryman, one requires specialized training such as the certification courses. The certification course is very much instrumental in landing up a job or apprenticeship as a foundryman in a variety of industries.
