Eligibility Criteria
The basic qualification for pursuing Certification Furnace Operator is a pass degree in 10+2 or Higher Secondary Examination in Science stream and with Chemistry as a subject from a recognized college or university.
However, there is no higher education to become a furnace operator but earning a certificate degree will increase your competitiveness in this field.
Work of a furnace operator
In industrial manufacturing, furnaces are used for a variety of materials. Heating materials such as metal and plastic makes them more soft and flexible when heated to a certain temperature which is then easier to give them any shape. A furnace operator has to make sure that the furnace maintains proper temperature. If the material gets too hot, then it may ruin the product and if it isn't hot enough, the production has to be slowed down till it gets reheated. As a furnace operator, candidates have to find out whether the temperature is just right by measuring temperature readings.

Knowledge of the basic principles of geometry and drawing
Knowledge of the safety aspects associated with furnace operations and heat treatment process
