Introduction
B. Des or Bachelor of Design is a graduation level course in the field of Fashion and interior designing. The course includes study about various concepts and processes of creating new designing for knitting, printing, weaving of fabrics. Candidates also learn about embroidery designing, color detailing, texture details, etc through this course. Candidates acquire knowledge about structural and surface designing, technical aspects of production, various properties of yarn fabric, wool and dyes. Candidates get an opportunity to pursue the course with different specializations like textile designing in interiors, home furnishing, garments, accessories and many more.
Eligibility
Candidates who have qualified their 12th standard examinations successfully are eligible for this course. Students from arts stream with prior knowledge of designing are preferred for this course.

Admission Procedure
Admissions can be availed in 3 different ways- direct admissions, on merit basis and through entrance examinations. Further Study options
After completion of this course, interested candidates can pursue higher studies in related field and they can go for Master of Arts in Fashion Design/ Fashion Retail/ Fashion Merchandising, Master of Design, etc.
They can also go for Management courses like M.B.A. in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising/ Fashion Management, etc.
After completion of Masters Degree, PhD is also available for candidates willing to conduct some research work in their own field.
