Introduction
Bachelor of Design or B.Des is a graduation level course in the field of Fashion and interior designing. This course is focuses on study about garment construction, tailoring, formal water techniques, fitting, creating sustainable fashion, etc. It gives main emphasis of fitting of costumes and other support features related to fashion industries. Candidate requires to have basic idea about sewing techniques and should have sewing proficiency before enrolling for this course. The course covers both creative designing part as well as technical aspects related to apparel designing, manufacturing, specification development, pattern making, color, textile, business and computer based design technology.
Eligibility
Candidates who have passed 12th standard from a reputed institute and recognized board are eligible for this course. Prior knowledge about sewing technology and creative designing is preferred for this course.
The age restriction and minimum qualifying marks need to be checked before submission of application form.
Admission Procedure

Duration

Further Study options
After successfully completing this course, candidates can go for post graduation in same or related field. They can pursue M.Des or M.Sc. in fashion designing/ Apparel designing/ Accessories Design, etc.
M.B.A can also be done if interest persists in management.
