Introduction
M.Des or Master of Design is a post graduation level course related to the field of Fashion and Interior Designing. This branch of arts deals with study about applying designs, aesthetics and natural beauties on clothing and accessories. Fashion is something which varies depending upon cultural and social differences and varied time spans. Candidates learn about conceptual design principles, methodologies in connection to global fashion designing. They also learn about creating, managing and presenting their portfolio in finished manner. The areas like research in fashion, construction techniques, experimental practice, product development, capsule collection, CAD for fashion, etc are also included in the course.
Eligibility
Candidates holding graduation degree in same or related stream like B.Des in any subject, B.A. in fashion design, etc are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for most of the institutes. Regarding age criteria, it is advised to check the same from the administrative department of the selected institute before submitting the application form.
Admission Procedure
For admissions, interested candidates need to submit the filled application form enclosed with all other required documents before last date. Admissions can be offered on direct basis, on merit basis or through entrance examinations depending upon the institutes.

The duration for this course is 2 regular years. It cannot be pursued through correspondence and need to be pursued on regular basis.
