Eligibility and course duration
A minimum 10+2 qualification in any stream. Suitable industry experience or a relevant diploma course in fields related to textile designing, apparel manufacturing, etc. Admissions are based on interview and on marks obtained in 10+2.

Patternmakers take an accurate measurement either from a sample dress or directly from the body of a person. They develop paper patterns that are finally cut into fabric. They are into assessing the fittings and if needed, do the necessary adjustments. After ensuring the correctness of the patterns, they are finally sent for mass production.
