Dance, whether classical or non-classical is a very popular art form in the country. Since ages, India is blessed with a rich culture of dance in all its regions; North, South, East as well as West. Every region has its own unique dance form. If some are classical in nature, then others are in the form of folk dances. Some of the very popular classical dance forms are Bharathnatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Kathakali and so on. These dances are very popular in the foreign countries and time and again many notable Indian dancers have performed in front of international crowd in countries abroad in one or the other dance form. With a degree in dance, there are thus immense possibilities.
Eligibility and course duration
10+2 or an equivalent qualification from a recognized educational board. Those only 10th pass bur having a diploma in dance can also apply.
Duration of this undergraduate program is 3 years.
