Introduction
Bachelor of Fine Arts is also known as its short name as B.F.A. It is a graduation level course in the Fine arts stream and is associated with many specializations. B.F.A in Sculptures is totally related to material based arts. It teaches about its multidimensional possibilities and different forms including broad range of techniques and media. Candidates get an opportunity to know about invent processes, exploring innovative content related to object making, their installation and performances. Other material related things like mold making, welding, fabrication, etc are also included in the course.
Eligibility
Candidates need to pass 12th standard examination from a recognized institute and board to become eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks may vary from one institute to another and similarly, the age criteria may also vary. So it is advised to check both before submission of application form.

For admission, candidates need to approach the administrative department of the selected institute and get the prospectus and application form. After reading the prospectus and eligibility criteria carefully, a filled form enclosed with other required documents can be submitted before last date. Admissions can be direct, on merit basis or through entrance examinations depending upon the institute selected.
Duration
The duration for this course is 3 years in most of the institutes. These 3 years are divided into 6 semesters, each having 6 months duration. Only few institute conduct this course with 4 years duration.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, the suitable options for higher studies are M.F.A (Master of Fine Arts) or M.A. (Master Of Arts) in same or related subjects like Painting, sculpture, Visual media, print making, applied Arts, etc.
B.Ed and M.Ed are options are candidates having interest in teaching whereas PhD is an option for candidates with immense interest in research.
Course Highlights
The course includes teaching about Hindi and communicative English along with Sculpture. The initial phase of course teaches about drawing, designing in 2D and 3D forms, appreciation and fundamentals of visual arts, print making, pictorial designs, etc.
Clay modeling, geometry, calligraphy, compositions, portraits, advance composition, methods and materials are also an important part of this course.
