Introduction
M.Phil is Master of Philosophy and as its name suggest, it is a research based post Graduation level course available in all the streams. M. Phil in Music teaches about all the different aspects of Music. The course includes study about medium of musical art that is sound and silence. Candidates learn about pitch, rhythm, dynamics, sonic qualities of timbre and texture and many other important elements in detail.
Candidates willing to go for a teaching career in higher levels like colleges are suitable for this course. It is also beneficial for candidates good in song writing and composing songs.
Eligibility
The course requires a masters degree from a reputed institute or college to become eligible for this course. This should be done in Music or related field. The minimum qualifying marks should be 55% and age criteria need t be checked from the selected institute for application submission.
