Introduction
Post Graduate Diploma, as its name suggest, it is a Diploma level course which can be pursued after Graduation. Post Graduate Diploma in Theatre Arts is related to Acting, drama and some part of Dance. The course gives exposure towards the various theatre activities including both on stage and off stage and make them understand about individual and collaborative intelligence required to become a successful Theatre Artist.
The course is designed to create artists by providing training, theatre practices, venue, etc for working in different Medias like film, radio, television, etc.
Eligibility
candidates holding graduation degree in any stream from a recognized or reputed institute are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks and the age are 2 criteria needed to be checked from the office of selected office before submission of the admissions form.

Admissions can be availed in three ways- direct, through entrance test and an interview. Most of the institutes offer direct admissions where as some reputed institutes short list the candidates depending upon their performance in test and interview. The course starts with introductory sessions about the theatre. Candidates learn about stage technology, Basics of performances, Play Analysis, theatre work shops, etc. The course also includes study about scene design, lighting design, costume design, theatrical make up, etc.
A part of course teaches about history of Theatre, famous theatre artist, famous plays and various land marks from the history and advancements of theatre arts.
