Introduction
B.Sc. or Bachelor of Science is a undergraduate level course/ degree and is available in various subjects related to science stream. B.Sc. in Yoga is all about Yogic studies and related science. Yoga is a physical activity which brings mind and body together in a harmonious manner. This subject includes mental, physical and spiritual discipline and has its origin in ancient times of India.
It is suitable for candidates willing to learn about spirituality, meditation and want to have a career in this line. There is no age limit for doing yoga and most of the adults can do it as per their interest.
Eligibility
Candidates who have completed their 12th board examinations successfully from a recognized board and reputed institute are eligible for this course. They must have scored at least 50% marks in the same.
Some reputed institutes want candidates from science stream only for this course.
Admission Procedure
Interested candidates need to submit the duly filled form enclosed with all other required documents and application fee in prescribed format before last date. Admissions can be offered directly, on merit basis and some institutes also conduct entrance test to validate the knowledge of candidates.
Duration
The duration for this course is 3 regular years. It is divided into 6 equal parts known as semesters. It may vary in part time course or distance learning mode.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, candidates interested in higher studies can pursue Post Graduation or Masters degree level course in same or related stream. They can go for M.Sc. in Yoga Sciences, M.A. in Applied Yoga and Heath, M.Sc. Yoga and Management/ Yoga and naturopathy and many more such options.
After master's degree, they can also go for Doctorate degree by pursuing PhD in the same.

The course starts with study about Anatomy Physiology, Introduction to Samskrta, human System according to Yoga, yoga for personality development, etc. Candidates also learn about relation between yoga and education, computer and statistics in relation with yoga, Vedic chanting and devotional music, Hatha Yoga, etc. Practical sessions are also there to learn about Psychology, advance yogasanas, advance Kriyas, Classical Yogasanas, etc.
