Bachelor of Science is addressed as B.Sc. (its abbreviation) most of the times. It is an undergraduate level degree course available in many science related subjects. B.Sc. in Yoga and Management is a unique combination from the field of Yoga and Naturopathy which deals with Yoga Science and its management. The course is developed with an aim to create efficient professional in the field of Yoga science to develop this spiritual discipline globally.
Apart from Yoga, candidates learn about business and corporate world, management principles, etc through this course.
The course requires 12th passed candidates who have secured at least 50% marks as aggregate from a recognized board and reputed institute. Some institutes also have criteria about stream from which the candidate belongs to.
Age restriction need to be checked from the selected institute as it varies from on to another.
Admissions can be taken either directly or on merit basis depending upon the institute you have selected fro admission. Only few reputed institutes conduct their entrance test to shortlist the deserving candidates for the course. In all the cases, submission of duly filled form enclosed with all other required documents before last date is common.
The duration for this course is 3 years which are equivalent to 6 semesters; each having 6 months duration. The whole curriculum of the course is also divided into 6 parts accordingly.

After completion of this graduation course, candidates are advised to pursue higher studies to have better opportunities. They can go for Masters Degree in Yoga and management/ Yoga and Naturopathy/ Yogic Science and Holistic Health/ Yogashastra and many other options.
After Masters Degree, Doctorate degree, PhD is also available which allows you to have career in scientific field.
The course curriculum includes both Yoga science and management studies. It starts with basic topics like Human Anatomy, Social outlook of Siddhars, Physiological Functions of Human Body, Fundamentals of Yoga, etc. Then candidates also learn about basics of microbiology, identification of herbs, medicinal value of herbs, natural Yogis diet, simple home remedies, etc.
The later part of course includes stages of yoga practices, rule of yoga in health and diseases, demonstration of various Yogas, model yogic lesion plan for teaching in Schools, etc.
These candidates are suitable for working as a Yoga research officer, Yoga instructor, therapist, Ayurvedic doctor, etc. They can work in health clubs, yoga centers, institutes, etc.
