The PhD in Political Science is a full-time programme which takes 3-4 years and which is intended to provide graduates with a wide range of research skills as well as in-depth knowledge, understanding and expertise in their chosen field of research. Once the candidate in this examination he is eligible for getting a UGC fellowship and he can opt for a teaching profession also. The candidates who obtained MPhil qualification can directly join in PhD course without NET examination also. As far as the fellowship is concerned the policy of the Universities will vary.
