Introduction
Master of Engineering is addressed as M.E. most of the times. It is a Post Graduation degree course in engineering stream. M.E. in Computer and Communication Engineering is developed to fulfill the current technical need of the present-day world. Candidates study everything from how computers work, how we work with computers and even how the working can be improved. They also learn about issues like digital identity, piracy, and technology security. The course teaches about the relationship between computer science, society and informatics practices on long-term and large scale.
Eligibility
Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree- B.E. or B.Tech in same or similar subject from a recognized and registered institute and have secured at least 60% marks as aggregate are eligible for this course. The age criteria need to be checked from the selected institute because it varies from one to another.
Admission Procedure
Admissions are through entrance test for most of the reputed institutes. Interested candidates can submit the application form enclosed with other required documents and application fee before the last date. After that entrance examination gets conducted and candidates performing well in that get shortlisted for the course. Some institute may also arrange an interview session for further screening of the deserving candidates.
Duration
The duration of this course is 2 years which are equivalent to 4 semesters. Each semester has 6 months duration.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, the Ph.D. is an option for candidates willing to study further. It is suitable for candidates having research aptitude and wants to have a career in scientific line. Please note that Ph.D. does not have any age restriction in most of the institutes and candidates can pursue t as per their suitability and availability.
