Introduction
M.D. is an abbreviation of Doctor of Medicine which is a Post graduation degree course in Medical stream. M.D. can be pursued in different subjects as per the interest of candidates and Radiology is one among them. Radiology is a branch of medical science which deals with X-rays and other high energy radiation used for diagnosis and treatment of different diseases. Candidates learn to correlate various types of radiology based findings with other tests and examinations. They also learn about other medical imaging modalities in a relation of diagnosis and treatment. The course includes radio physics, production of X-rays, an interaction of radiation with matter, radiography, radiation detection, computed tomography, etc through this course.
Eligibility
Candidates holding M.B.B.S degree from a reputed institute and must have secured at least 50% marks in the same are eligible for this course. The age criteria sometimes vary from one institute to another so it is suggested to check it before submission of application.
Admission Procedure
Admissions are mostly offered through entrance tests. Interested candidates need to submit their application forms for selected institutes and then appear in the entrance examinations with full preparation. Candidates performing well get shortlisted for the admissions. Some institutes may also conduct interviews sessions for further screening of candidates.

Candidates interested in pursuing higher studies can go for Ph.D. in Neuroimaging and interventional radiology, M.Tech in Radio frequency communication or any other related course.
