Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidates who want to study this course must complete their graduation in either Library Science or Library and Information Science. No other candidate from any other stream will be allowed to apply for this course.
2. There is no restriction regarding the marks to be obtained in this course. But, the students need to score as high as possible to become a part of this course. This is because the admissions will be kept open until seats remain vacant. The seats will be filled on merit basis.

Job Prospects

1. You will be able to join as a librarian in a school. Your job will be to segregate and classify the books, according to their category. You will have to maintain the records of the books and keep it upgraded as new books are bought for the library. You can also become a college or university librarian. Your job will be same as that of a school librarian with some added responsibilities. These added responsibilities are maintaining a record for new journals, issuing latest journal copies and latest educational magazines.
2. Law offices or courts and personal offices of practicing advocates require an efficient librarian. You will have to be thorough with the contents of the books. Here classification is not that important. You might have to assist the law officer with the legal information given in the books.
3. Other than the previous two workplaces, you can also join any government funded library. Your responsibilities will be same as that for school or college libraries.
