The course is basically conducted by Department of Fashion and Apparel and requires the basic knowledge of computer. After the successful completion of this course, you will be able to work at any apparel designing firm, cloth industry or any other Fashion related organization. Being qualified in CAD based certification course, you will be having an idea about computer based software which are helpful in pattern making and this will keep you in higher preferences.
Course details
The course covers manual patterns within the software and also includes teaching how to create patterns digitally. A range of innovative computer solutions within the fashion industry allow candidates to learn to create patterns more efficiently and increase their overall productivity.
The areas of study will include preface to computer application. Then Lectra system, function of tools , icon and menu bars, digitization ,pattern drawing for various garments, pattern grading of two dimensions and three dimensions, marker planning and marker making will be taught to candidates.

Some institutes may conduct entrance examination for this course but that will be very basic and will be focused on basic computer based questions.
